Road Surveys:

Identifies whether a particular piece of stream has fish present or not, or whether the status is unknown.

Summary:

During the summer, 2010 CoosWA crews surveyed 61 miles of high risk roads, about 17% of the total of 350 mi. in the project area.

Why do we care:

Roads are chronic sources of sediments if they drain into streams. Plugged and undersized culverts may washout in storms resulting in large amounts of sediment going into streams.
